In 12 years of school, I’ve gone to 9 different ones. Moving so often made it hard to express myself. I settled for doing the bare minimum—but deep down, I knew I was betraying myself.
My soul was yearning.
So I took action. I reconnected with my rabbi. Together, we slowly launched a CTeen chapter.
CTeen became my anchor. It gave me direction, goals, and motivation. Planning events, fundraising, calling teens—it fueled growth in other parts of my life too.
I started learning with a chavrusa and attending farbrengens and Torah classes. I finally felt grounded.
Then came another big change: I had to move schools again for my senior year.
But this time, I was ready. It was Tishrei, and I took the opportunity to become a mitzvah ambassador.
I reached out to CTeen friends, pitched a plan to HQ, and we made it happen: 300 teens shook lulav and etrog thanks to our sukkah mobiles and outreach.
It became one of the best moments of my life.
If you’re stuck—take action.
