Fun-loving adventurer, Akiva Schintzer, knows how difficult it can be to find a place to really belong as a Jewish teen. For Akiva, Cteen became the one place where he feels 100% himself. As a leader, he now seeks to give other teens the chance to feel that level of belonging and comfort in their own skin. No need to be anyone else than who you really are.
He also hopes to be an example of what a Cteen can accomplish spreading love across the world. His boisterous personality creates a positive, energetic vibe for the entire chapter, drawing other teens to join events like movie nights, bonfires, trips to Bam Kazam, escape rooms, and so much more. Inspired by Akiva’s lead, teens who never wore a kippah or put on tefillin have had the chance to try it out and, even, commit to it.
“I’d like to think that I spread Judaism to all sorts of teens in my community,” Akiva shares. “I like to get people into whatever we’re doing and just have a blast. In case you haven’t noticed by now, I’m a huge extrovert and love to talk to people.”
